Overview
Purpose
The purpose of this web page is going to be advertising our white water rafting service to those seeking a one time experience. We do not sell equipment but rent it out to those seeking the thrill of White water rafting. We are trying to draw those in who are thinking about trying it. We need to have a luring website that makes people gravitate towards white water rafting rather than be a site that scares them away with a bunch of technical terms and dangerous situations. We are meant to be family friendly. Drawing in customers and selling our services is our main purpose on this web page.
Audience
My audience is mainly going to be College/University students. College students are going to be looking for an affordable and thrilling experience when white water rafting. My audience is mainly going to be accessing my site either through a laptop or through a mobile device. Almost all students have cell phones so this will probably be the most common way of accessing it. On the other hand many colleges pretty much require that a student has a computer/laptop in order to complete class work. This will be another very common way that college students would be accessing the site.

Typography
Heading Font: Permanent Marker
I choose to use this font because it looks somewhat adventurous and rustic which fits the theme of white water rafting.
Paragraph Font: Patrick Hand
The reason I choose this font is because it is easy to read and still somewhat fits the theme of the website.
Normal paragraph example

Navigation
Site Map
The Site Map of a site is just like it sounds…it is a map of the pages in a site and how they are related and linked together. From the map above we can see that we will eventually have the Home page and 2 sub or child pages.
The lines that connect them all together indicate that each page should be accessible from any other page, it is essentially showing us the global navigation for the site.
Wireframes
Wireframes are like blueprints for making webpages. They should show the major sections of content that will be on the page and the relative locations of each element. In the wireframe below you can see there will be 6 sections to our page:
- At the top we have a section with the logo (the box with the mountain means an image) and the navigation bar.
- Then there is a banner image that stretches all the way across the screen.
- Next we have some text and an image
- ...followed by another row made up of an image and some text.
- Then one more section of text with no image.
- Lastly, a footer containing a copyright/name line and 3 social media icons.
